Personal Drive Mount

A private, single-user tool for accessing the owner's own Google Drive.

What this application does

Personal Drive Mount is a personal integration built on rclone. It mounts a single Google Drive account on the owner's own computer as a local filesystem, so that the owner can read, write and back up the files of that one account using ordinary desktop tools.

The application is used by one person only — the owner of the Google Drive account it connects to. It is not distributed, not offered to the public, and has no users other than its author.

How it works

It runs locally on the owner's machine as a system service.
It authenticates with the owner's own Google account via Google OAuth 2.0.
It requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive scope, which is required to read and write files in that Drive.
OAuth credentials are stored locally on the owner's machine and are never sent anywhere except to Google's own API endpoints.

Data handling
